BHADARWAH: To continue efforts to provide facilities regarding vehicles at the door steps of people residing in Bhadarwah and its adjoining areas, Motar Vehicle Department (MVD) Doda under the guidance ARTO, Azhar Amin Zargar organised one day Trial cum fitness camp at New Bus Stand Kotli Bhadarwah.
On the occasion trials for licence seekers were also held in which 50 aspirants took part besides fitness certificates of 12 vehicles were also issued by the MVD team.
On the occasion awareness session was also held for drivers and licence seekers to aware them.
While speaking on the occasion ARTO Doda Azhar Amin Zargar said that civil society especially youth should dedicate their efforts to ensure safety of people besides restricting fatal road accidents. He urged for adherence strictly to the traffic rules for smooth flow of traffic and ensuring safety of people besides restricting road accidents.
Zargar urged upon the gathering for use of helmets, seat belts, avoiding over- speeding and use of mobile phones, liquor during driving and others measures for the safety of themselves and others.
During the interaction with the drivers, Zargar told them to understand their responsibility in the society and avoid various violations on road that may cause accidents and loss of precious lives.
While talking to our correspondent , ARTO Doda informed that “As per the directions of higher authorities we are issuing fitness certificates only after they write the sign of ‘No Smoking’ on their vehicles,it should be written inside and outside of the vehicle besides other formalities”.
He appealed to the people not to approach the agents for any work regarding ARTO office Doda and “if any official is demanding bribe ,inform me and I will take strict action against erring officials”, he added.
People especially licence seekers appreciated the efforts of ARTO Doda for providing this facility at the door steps and said that ever since the ARTO Doda has joined the office, attitude of the Deptt has totally changed and with his tireless efforts the Deptt has became corruption free.
He was accompanied with his official team which include Inspector Abdul Qayoom and Dealing Assistant Gurnaam Singh.
Later, he also held a meet with transporters and listened to their problems/demands and assured them to redress their problems/demands at the as earliest.
