REASI: District Election Officer (DEO) Reasi-Shabir Ahmad Bhatt, has asked concerned authorities to complete the necessary arrangements at counting centres well in time, during a meeting of officers held at Reasi on Saturday.
It was informed in the meeting that counting would be held at General Zorawar Singh Government Degree College, Reasi. Presiding over the meeting DEO said that counting of votes would be arranged in three halls for the three Assembly segments. Various issues including entry passes for officers and officials, security related issues, parking of vehicles, uninterrupted power and water supply at both the venues of counting; besides number of other issues related to counting were discussed in detail during the meeting. DEO informed that the process of counting of votes will start with the counting of postal ballots first then EVMs of all segments. DEO directed the concerned officers to put in place the coordinated efforts well in time to ensure hassle free counting. SSP Reasi-Vivek Gupta informed that elaborate arrangements have been made and security tightened, to ensure peaceful counting of votes. A three-layered security cover has been put in place at the counting centres added SSP.
ADC-Shiv Kumar Gupta, ACD-Joginder Singh Rai, RO-58 Tilak Raj Sharma, RO -57 Ashwani Kumar Sharma, RO-59 Dr H.S Rana, XEn PHE, PDD, PWD, DIO-Parvinder Kour, DIO-Asish Dogra, Tehsildar- Daljeet Singh, EO Municipality besides other officers were also present in the meeting.
