JAMMU: Chenab Brigade in their pursuit of excellence set another milestone by setting up a Passenger Reservation System (PRS) at Damana.
This facility was long pending for as there were a lot of difficulties being faced by the troops and the families to get their Railway reservations done. The railway station is approx 13 Kms away from Damana and movement of troops due to security and operational reasons, is difficult.
Finally, with the relentless efforts by the team of Chenab Brigade and Station Headquarters, Damana, PRS got fully functional. It was inaugurated by Major General Dushyant Singh, General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division, on Saturday in presence of Railways and BSNL representatives.
On this occasion, the General Officer Commanding congratulated all ranks posted in the station and exhorted to use this facility to its optimum. The PRS will contribute to the growth of the station but also improve the comfort and welfare of all ranks and families and benefit approximately 5000 serving personals and their families.
