Army Public School Ratnuchak celebrates annual day

JAMMU: Army Public School Ratnuchak celebrated its annual day with zeal and zest at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here on Tuesday.
Brig Vikram Kumar, Chairman of the School was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The invitees included members of the school management, parents and other dignitaries, who graced the occasion.
The function was declared open by the Chief Guest with lighting of the traditional lamp, which was followed by School Annual Report presented by the Principal, Sonal Sharma.
The students attired in colourful costumes presented a wonderful ‘Cultural Bonanza’ full of various enticements, which mesmerised the audience.
The cultural programme began with the chanting of verses in praise of Lord Surya seeking his divine blessings, followed by an enthralling performance of Cheering Cheeks and Tunes of Algoza.
The audience was spell-bound by the captivating performance of “Unison of Conscience” which showcased the Gatka performance followed by a martial art drill, Instrumental Symphony, Salsa Aliqua, Shiva “The Equipoised” and Garbha dance.
The audience was also deeply touched by the thought provoking performance on ostracization of the girl child in the ballet “Wings of Liberation”. The infallibity of Arjuna who was awakened by the “Geeta Gyaan” by Krishna was depicted in the Hindi play.
Brig Vikram Kumar congratulated the principal, staff and students for achieving exceptional success in Class XII board examination for the session 2013-14. The meritorious students were awarded with cash prizes as well as commendation certificates. The Chief Guest also appreciated the enthusiasm, zeal and cultural display of the students. The function concluded with vote of thanks.
