Army organises vocational training for youth

RAJOURI: In an effort to integrate the school children with the national mainstream and to promote knowledge about computers amongst the students residing in far flung area of Rajouri District, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force organised computer classes for 12 children from 11th to 23rd May 2015.
The classes were run by qualified instructors from army who taught the children on basics of computers. Stationary and other items were also provided by the army to the children during the training thus encouraging the children of this border region to gain essential knowledge.
In an another effort, the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Romeo Force conducted six days Vehicle Repairing Cadre from 18th to 23rd May 15 in their unit location, where youth of remote villages of Surankote Tehsil, were imparted training on basic vehicle repairing procedure, repairing equipment and about latest vehicles.
This cadre conducted by Romeo Force will provide them with basic knowledge on vehicle mechanics so that they can pursue
this field and make a livelihood for themselves and their family.
These skill development classes are being conducted regularly in various parts of the region for the youth who are enterprising and willing to learn new skills.
The locals appreciated the efforts of Indian Army for organising the cadres.
