Army organises multifaceted camp

JAMMU: About 3,000 patients and 3,200 livestocks were benefited in a multifaceted camp organised on Wednesday by Kalidhar Brigade at village Dori Dager in Akhnoor Tehsil under Operation Sadbhavana.
The camp, which included free medical, dental and veterinary assistance, including, distribution of free medicines, handing over of medical equipments to PHCs located at Dori Dager and adjoining areas, distribution of walking aids to disabled persons and free crash helmets to two wheeler riders, a defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta said
In addition to army doctors, doctors from Block Medical Office Akhnoor and Block Veterinary Hospital Chowki Choura also rendered their service in the camp, he added.
A major attraction of the Camp was the colourful cultural programme performed by the school children. Prizes also were also distributed to the participants. A Bhandara was also organized by the Army for the locals at the famous Baba Mahimal Temple.
Sarpanch of the area, Gautam Sharma expressed gratitude to army saying that “for all the involvement of Army in village I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Crossed Sword Division and Kalidhar Brigade for bringing a new lease of life. It has increased the expectation from Army for future also”.
