Army organises cleanliness drive

DARHAL: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under Romeo Force, organised a cleanliness drive at Darhal village, District Rajouri on Wednesday to spread awareness and motivate the locals to adopt cleanliness measures in their routine life.
The campaign witnessed huge participation with volunteers from all sections of society including, women and school students. Around 200 locals took part in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The locals were made aware about the nationwide cleanliness campaign. They were also told about the importance of the campaign and how to improve the surrounding areas and health of the citizens. Various posters and banners were displayed in the rally highlighting the campaign.
A lecture was also delivered by Sarpanch highlighting the necessity of adopting adequate sanitary measures in daily life. Subsequently, a cleanliness rally was taken out in the area with active participation by those present on the occasion.
