AKHNOOR: The army organised an afforestation drive at Government Middle School, Battal and Government Middle School Joguwan at Akhnoor on Saturday. The generating awareness on environment protection and to encourage all to understand the relevance of sustaining a green environment.
A total of 14,00 saplings of various fruit bearing and shade trees were planted under the event. The plantation was carried out in the presence of the principals, Sarpanch of Joguwan, teachers of respective schools, villagers and students of the area.
