RAJOURI: To integrate the school children, residing in far flung areas of Rajouri District, with the national mainstream and to promote interest in extra-curricular activities among them, a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force organised elocution and cultural programmes at Government School, Chamba.
The theme of the programme, in which about 250 students took part, was ‘People Friendly Army’.
The students and school authorities expressed their desire for conduct of similar events in the future as such programmes help in broadening the horizon of the children.
Headmaster of the school, Mohd Iqbal conveyed his gratitude to the army for taking up such event for the children and locals of the area.
