KISHTWAR: Akshay Tritay and Eid were celebrated peacefully and with full religious fervor in remote area of Kishtwar region Dool, inspite of heavy rains and bad weather condition under the security umbrella and conducive environment provided by Army on Tuesday. This reflects unity and communal harmony instilled by Indian Army in militancy affected area.
Jawans of Indian Army wished the people and distributed sweets to all on both occasions, bringing both communities together, motivating them to look beyond prism of religious bias thereby promoting healthy nation building. This positive and warm gesture by jawans of Indian Army were appreciated by people of both communities as they swore to maintain peace and tranquillity in the region.
Army also celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr at Lam, Batraigala and Tarakundi villages of Rajouri District with the Awaam of the region. The festival was celebrated with traditional joy and gaiety. As part of the celebrations traditional sweets were distributed to the local populace. The event would go a longway in strengthening the bond between the Army and the local populace.
