Army conducts Ramban Cricket Premier League

RAMBAN: Badal Eleven Manjoos locked horns with Badshah Cricket Club in the opening match of the Ramban Cricket Premier League being organised by Ramsoo Army Unit at Ramban Police Parade Ground, which commenced on Sunday.
“In all, 24 teams from various parts of Ramban registered themselves for this cricket tournament which will be concluded on 1st august, 2016,” Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta, said.
The inaugural match, he said, was witnessed by various civil administration and prominent personalities of the Ramban District.
The champion team will receive a cash prize of Rs 30,000 along with a trophy while the runners up will be rewarded Rs 15,000, he said adding that special prizes will also be given for the individuals.
The tournament, Lt Col Mehta said, has provided a wide scope to the local teams to showcase their cricketing talent at a competitive platform.
