Army conducts Bhaderwah Trekking Expedition

Bhaderwah: With an aim to promote tourism and to divert the energy of youths towards positive way, Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles based at Bhaderwah organized Bhaderwah trekking expedition in high altitude area of Bhaderwah under operation Sadhbhavna.
The first ever mega event saw participation by 27 trekkers especially 13 females from Bhaderwah Campus, Government Degree College and Jammu University. Beside locals also become part of this expedition to spread message of Drugs free society and healthy lifestyle.
The Bhaderwah Trekking expedition was flagged off by CO Rashtriya Rifles Col Yogesh Chouhan from high altitude Thanthara area, which after covering different picturesque meadows culminated at Chattergalla area of Bhaderwah, located at 14500 feet above the sea level.
Beside trekking, the participants were provided in hand experience about how to survive in forests and snow filled meadows.
CO RR Col Yogesh Chouhan said that the aim is to divert the energy of youths towards healthy lifestyle and provide them different opportunities to get themselves engaged in positive activities. The event also promote unexplored trekking trails and adventure tourism of Bhaderwah. Participants expressed their gratitude to Army for organizing Trekking expedition in these virgin locations.
