POONCH: According to sources, a young girl, living close to the Line of Control in Goldh Village, Poonch District had inadvertently consumed poison. The girl soon experienced acute symptoms of poisoning when her family members asked her about condition. The villagers immediately approached the Company Commander of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, located in Basoni, under Romeo Force for help. An ambulance immediately was pressed into evacuation of the young girl.
The girl who had suffered poisoning was provided with first aid and evacuated to hospital in Mendhar. The girl is now out of danger and recovering. The swift action by the Indian Army resulted in saving a precious life.
