POONCH: For promoting communal harmony through the medium of sports, the Indian Army today felicitated Mohd Tariq on 77th Poonch Link Up Day celebrations, here.
The special award was presented to Tariq by Lt General Naveen Sachdeva, GOC 16 Corps in recognition to his (Tariq) contributions in promoting communal harmony in the society by engaging the youth on the play fields.
Important to mention here that the Indian Army celebrates the Poonch Link Up Day in a big way every year. On this day, the Army recognise the contributions of individuals towards the society and then felicitate them in the public.
Tariq has been doing commendable job as a coach and mentor by in the border district of Poonch thus guiding the youth to excel in sports.
