AKHNOOR : Army Public School (APS) Akhnoor won the Northern Command Inter School debate competition for the year 2014-15.
The competition was hosted by APS Akhnoor in which five Army Schools of Northern Command including APS Udhampur, APS Dhar Road, APS Nagrota, APS Rakhmuthi and the host school took part.
Principal of the School inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp along with the judges from KV No. 2 Akhnoor, DAV School Akhnoor and Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor.
Nand Kishore, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Narinder Langer, Rupali Rajput, Bal Krishan, Nisha Langer and Gunjan Kohli acted as the Adjudicators. APS Akhnoor got first position in both English and Hindi Debate segments of the competition.
APS Udhampur secured the runner up trophy in Hindi and APS Nagrota runner up trophy in English. The best speaker award in Hindi was shared by three students including Muskan Chib and Priyanka Devi from APS Akhnoor and Shivi Badyal from APS Udhampur. The best speaker award in English Debate was secured by Putkar Verma from APS Nagrota.
Later, Chairman of School Brig S.K Dey congratulated the winners.
