JAMMU: A delegation of Association of Industries, IGC Samba led by its President, Vijay Aggarwal met Managing Director, J&K SIDCO at Srinagar and discussed the various issues related the IGC Samba for his immediate attention.
During the course of discussions, Aggarwal highlighted the issues related to the bad conditions of the roads, drains and other infrastructure resulting great inconvenience to the unit holders.
Aggarwal also highlighted the issues regarding the repair of protection bund along with the Industrial Estate which was damaged due to flash floods in the river Bansanter in September, 2014 due to which the unit holders suffer huge Financial Losses at that time. It is a matter of great concern that no action has been taken by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department for the repair of protection bund till date and we fear that in the coming rainy season the rain water may enter into the industrial area.
Aggarwal requested the Industries and Commerce Minister, Chander Parkash to issue necessary instructions to Managing Director J&KSIDCO to take immediate steps for the improvement of infrastructure in the complex and also take up the matter with PHE Minister Sham Choudhary for immediate repair of protection bund on war footing basis to avoid any damage to the industrial units located in the complex.
