Anti-national forces may disturb Amarnath Yatra: SSDS

JAMMU: The series of mis-happenings in two temples of Jammu city and one at Poonch within a span of 15 days were deliberate attempts of the anti-national and communal forces to disturb the coming Shri Amarnath Yatra.
This was stated by President, Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SSDS), Jammu, Jagdish Dogra in a press conference, here on Thursday.
“All the above said incidents were ‘a deep conspiracy’ to disturb the coming Shri Amarnath Yatra which is going to start from 2nd July, 2016,” he said.
Dogra hailed the action of district administration which controlled the situation affecting within short period.
To conduct Shri Amarnath Yatra in a smooth and peaceful manner, he demanded that State Government must take stern action against divisive forces to maintain communal harmony in Jammu province.
He also demanded that necessary and immediate steps be taken to provide all facilities to the Amarnath pilgrims.
Dogra informed that as per past practice, the Sabha has made all arrangements of the stay and lodging of Yatris.
The Langar will be arranged for the Yatris at Geeta Bhawan, Parade, Jammu with the support of Nayas, he added.
Sabha members also paid tribute to Dr. Syama Prashad Mookerjee who died in Srinagar jail in suspicious conditions on 23rd of June, 1953. The Sabha demands an independent enquiry to find out the real cause of his death.
Jagdish Sharma, Bodh Raj, Sat Pal Singh Rathore and Bodh Raj Sharma were also present in the press conference.
