JAMMU: Ansh Chopra lifted the Sub-Junior boys’ snooker title beating Vasu Gupta in straight frames of 52-28, 54-35, 83-10 in the ongoing State Billiards and Snooker Championship, organised by J and K Billiards and Snooker Association, at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Sub-junior Billiards final has been scheduled for tomorrow at 3:00 PM. The last date for the senior snooker event has been fixed for 24th October. In the meanwhile, the junior snooker knock-out matches took place wherein nine matched decided today.

Junior Snooker: Aquib Farooq beat Prathmesh Dutta 2-1 (34-53, 74-27, 50-33); Vipan Malhi defeated Umang Gupta 2-0 (68-16, 55-22); Basit Wani blanked Sankalp Soni 2-0 (62-36, 80-29); Aasim outplayed Akshit Sharma 2-1 (55-35, 39-65, 64-27); Kamal Jamwal got walkover Samarth Amla; Abishek Mehra got walkover Sanand Sharma; Arjun Singh defeated Manik Sharma 2-0 (63-21, 69-27); Danish Gupta beat Ragun Chowdhary 2-0 (67-60, 33-25); Rohit Choudhary trounced Azad Gul 2-1 (28-50, 46-12, 81-41).
