QAZIGUND: Reyaz Ahmed Ganaie son of Mohammad Jabar Ganaie resident of Nussu who was running a Dhaba at National Highway near Badragund and used to sell codeine, liquor, Fukki etc among youths and drivers was earlier arrested by Police Station Qazigund and now he has been detained by Div Com Kashmir under the provisions of Public Safety Act vide order no 25/2016 dated 9th March 2016 and has been shifted to District Jail Khatua.
SSP Kulgam Mohmmad Arshad confirmed the news and told media persons that the drive against these drug peddlers/smugglers will continue and appealed to the general public to assist the police in curbing this drug menace.
Earlier two liquor smugglers were detained under PSA by Kulgam Police from Qazigund area.
