Annual Aquatics Meet held in JK Public School Kunjwani

JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani has always endeavoured to open new avenues for its students. With this intent, the swimming pool was upgraded and has had great fascination for the students. This year, Inter-House Swimming Meet marked the closure of the pool for the session 2023-24 on October 19, 2023.
In the invigorating aura of the pool and the hubbub of activity buzzing with the vibrancy of active participants, the pool had been the centre of activity with students practicing and participating in different activities.
The expeditious swimmers were all geared up to splash the pool. The cool water looked quite uniting on the sunny day of the competition.
A multitude of events in various categories, sub-juniors, junior and seniors were held for both boys and girls over a period of two weeks.
On the final day, amongst the honoured dignitaries were Gautam Daluja, Member of Management JK Educational Society, Shashi Chaudhary, Director JK Educational Society, Principal JK Public school Kunjwani, Rajesh Rathore and worthy parents of the participants.
This year, there was a unique way of selecting the Chief Guest.
The chief guest was selected from amongst the present parents by the Vice Chairman, as he picked up a slip from the names of the parents present and the Chief Guest was Atul. He was presented with a bouquet by Gautam Daluja.
The programme began with the welcome address by the Head Girl Radhika Bhan followed by the school song. The pledge was taken by Sports Captain Shagun Rajput. This was followed by March Past by the contingents of various houses. They were led by the Sports Captain Saksham Gupta. The flag bearer was Shagun Rajput (Sports Captain-Girls). The Goan dance enthralled the audience.
The Chief Guest declared the meet open. The whole pool buzzed with life as participants moved through the length and breadth of the pool. The traditional folk song by the School Choir thrilled everyone. Round-2 of swimming activities was followed by pool dance. Later prizes were given by the Chief Guest.
Best Swimmer (Male) was Vanshaj Tratha and Best Swimmer (Female) was Saara Kohli. Jaiwardhan Singh with four Gold was declared the Golden Fish of the meet.
