Anil Kapahi tops Amar Singh Club elections; 11-member Executive Committee elected

JAMMU: Renowned businessman Anil Kapahi secured the highest number of votes in closely contested elections, for the Executive Committee of the prestigious Amar Singh Club Jammu, held on Sunday .
Of the 22 contestants, Anil Kapahi secured highest 1802 votes, followed by Amit Mahajan who bagged 1654 votes, Deepali Handa 1573 votes, Sanjay Sethi 1568 votes, Sidharth Mehta 1526 votes, Naresh Kumar Gupta (Tony) 1434 votes, Er Gurpreet Singh Chahal 1427 votes, Dr Nandita Mehta 1407 votes, Ritika Mahajan 1220 votes, Prof Renu Nanda 1192 votes while Er Vikram Puri got 1180 votes.
The elections were held smoothly under the supervision of Chief Observer Prof Ashok Aima, former Vice Chancellor of Central University Jammu. These eleven winners elected as members of Executive Committee of Amar Singh Club, Jammu. The other contestants include Daljeet Singh Raina (Kuna Singh) got 1114 votes, Seerat Gupta (Ashu) 1076 votes, Manjeet Nagpal (Kaka) 1055 votes, Winnie Singh (Deepjyot Kour) 1008 votes, Rakesh Badyal 1003 votes and Dheeraj Malhotra 910 votes, Deepak Gupta 900 votes, Samar Bali 890, Sisar Khajuria 773 votes, Vinod Gandotra 639 votes and Varun Saraf 631 votes.
