JAMMU: Anil Jain has taken over the charge of Executive Director Northern Region Transmission System (NRTS) -II of POWERGRID. He shall be responsible for all central transmission projects in the states of J and K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh.
Anil Jain is a competent professional with over 35 years of extensive experience in project management, distribution management and telecom operations in power sector.
He is rated as one of the best professionals in POWERGRID. Prior to joining as Executive Director NRTS-II, Anil Jain was functioning as head of monitoring group of POWERGRID at its Corporate Centre in Gurgaon.
Some of his major contributions in power sector include planning and scheduling pre-award issues and post award execution monitoring of POWERGRID transmission projects, managing multi-disciplinary activities related to project management of RGGVY and distribution projects spread in 65 districts of nine States in 11th plan and setting up POWEGRID’s over 20,000 circuit kilometer strong fiber backbone, state-of-the-art DWDM/ SDH based network, including Regional and National Telecom Control Centres, in all regions of the country with overall availability of over 99.99 per cent with development of policies, procedures and guidelines for fault reporting, operations, preventive and breakdown maintenance.
