Anganwari workers, helpers project demands

JAMMU: Anganwari workers and helpers of various projects of Jammu Division organised a protest here on Saturday to press the State Government and higher authorities of ICDS Department for immediate solution of long pending genuine demands.
Protesters raised the slogans in support of their demands urging the State Government to enhance their honorarium at par with the adjoining states of Haryana, Punjab and Delhi where Rs. 10,000 are paid monthly honorarium to the workers.
They demanded enhancement of honorarium, fixation of final seniority lists and holding of immediate DPC meeting to clear all the pending promotions of supervisors, implementation of New Pension Scheme to workers and helpers and provision of gratuity at the time of retirement at the age of 65 years, etc.
