JAMMU: The J and K National Trade Union Front has given a statewide call for a protest on 30th May against the State Government attitude towards Anganwadi workers and helpers. This was stated by State President of the front Mohammad Gafoor Dar here on Thursday.
He said, Anganwadi workers and helpers have been protesting against the termination order issued by Director Mission ICDS demanding immediate withdrawal of orders for the last one month but government adopt silence towards the issue.
He alleged that GAD’s Order is unjustified because this is a central sponsored scheme and the orders have been issued by the competent authorities.
“The government was sleeping for the last two decades on the issue and has suddenly come out with the termination order with the pretext of procedure etc,” he said.
Dar appealed to the workers and helpers of Jammu district to participate in large number in the demonstration on 30th May 2015 at Press Club Jammu to press the State Govt. and ICDS Minister for immediate withdrawal of the termination order.
