Anganwadi workers to go on mass casual leave on April 17

JAMMU: Anganwadi workers and helpers of ICDS projects of Jammu region have given ultimatum to the higher authorities to address their pending issues otherwise they would go on mass causal leave on 17th April, 2017.
“We unanimously resolve to launch agitation on 17th April, if the government fails to resolve their pending issues,” Swarna Choudhary, President of the Association, told reporters, here on Saturday.
“Several time memoranda were submitted to the government and also protests were held but the senior officers failed to solve our problems,” she alleged.
They demanded enhancement of their remuneration/ wages at par with Haryana State, release of pending salary, declaration as government employees, enforcement of EPF, ESI and pension scheme, 100 per cent promotions of Anganwadi workers to the post of supervisors and convening of monthly meeting of workers by all CDPO for the smooth functioning of centres.
The workers condemned the delaying tactics of the government is solving their issues.
The press conference was also addressed by Ashok Choudhary General Secretary Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, Lakshman Ravinder Singh, Swarna Choudhary, Neelam Sharma General Secretary of the Association.
Koushallya Devi, Kamlesh Kumari, Chintpurni, Veena Devi, Perseno Devi, Jyoti Sumbria, Nirmal Devi, Sushma Devi, Soma Devi, Anju Devi and Naresh Bala were also present in the press conference.
