JAMMU: MoS for PHE and PDD Syed Farooq Andrabi on Friday chaired a high level meeting with PHE and PDD officials here.
Chief Engineer, PHE, Jammu R.K. Gangotra, Chief Engineer, PDD, Jammu, Ashwini Gupta, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers and concerned officials were present in the meeting. The minister took stock of the present situation regarding the arrangements made by the departments to combat the present heat wave conditions in the city. Andrabi said that the government is aware with the present conditions people of Jammu where mercury continues to hover around 40 degree centigrade. The minister stressed upon the lower rung officials of PDD to perform their duties with dedication. He asked them to carry out regular inspection in their respective areas to reduce the chances of unscheduled power cuts.
