ANANTNAG: Imran Yousuf won senior men while Nigina Akhter clinched senior women title of District Anantnag Carom Championship organised by Anantnag Carom Association at Sports Stadium Anantnag, here which concluded on Sunday. In the closing ceremony, Mohd Shafi, Incharge Manager of the stadium, was Chief Guest who gave away prizes among the winner and runner up players. He also congratulated the winners and organisers for making the event successful. The championship was sponsored by J and K State Sports Council. Other officials present were Ayoub, Tariq Ahmad and Tasif Ahmad.
Final Results: Senior women: Nigina Akhter defeated Nasreena Akhter. Senior Men: Imran Yousuf defeated Ikhlaq Ahmad. Shabir Dar got second runner up award. Junior Boys: Aadil Bashir defeated Shahid Hameed while Majid Ahmad got third place.
