JAMMU: Pledging to take forward environmental mission of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, senior PDP leaders Haji Anayat Ali, Chairman J&K Legislative Council and MLA Darhal and former Minister Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali kicked off plantation drive at Zanana Park here.
The programme was organised by PDP leader Vikram Singh to pay rich tribute to former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed in which various PDP leaders planted the saplings.
Meanwhile, talking to media persons, Zulfkar said that Mufti was concerned about environment and he always encouraged plantation for serenity. He said that Mufti was well aware about environmental degradation and he wanted to play vital role in balancing the environment for future generations.
Assuring to take forward his (Mufti’s) mission, Zulfkar said that Mufti’s Environment Mission will be taken forward and it will be one of the top agenda of the government.
Appreciating Vikram and his team for organising plantation drive, Zulfkar said that the drive is biggest tribute to Mufti as he was very particular about such plantation drives.
