POONCH: Zaffar Club defeated Surankote XI by three wickets to advance in the Twenty20 cricket tournament, part of the ongoing J and K Police Martyrs Sports Festival at District Police Lines, here on Thursday.
Earlier, batting first, Surankote XI made 98 runs, which, in reply, Zaffar Club chased making 99 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
In today’s match, Vice Principal of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Harcharan Singh was Chief Guest, who interacted with the participating teams. The match was witnessed by a healthy gathering of cricket lovers and members of the organising committee.
