JAMMU: Senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi along with representatives of old city business associations on Saturday met Inspector General of Police, Traffic J.P Singh and raised issues related to traffic congestion being faced by the people of Jammu city.
DIG Ashkoor A Wani and SP Traffic Jammu Mohan Lal were also present on the occasion.
The delegation comprised of President, Raj Tilak Road Traders Association Ramesh Mahajan, President, Shalimar Road Traders Association Pardeep Sharma, President, Jain Bazaar Traders Association Arun Sethi, Harish Gupta from Pacca Danga Traders Association, and General Secretary Old Hospital Road Association Joginder Mahajan.
Yudhvir said being hub of business activity, the old city area is vulnerable to traffic jam and proper traffic management is need of the time. He said that better traffic management will not only streamline the vehicles but can also help in avoiding accidents.
