JAMMU: Carrying forward efforts to reach out to those in distress due to recent Nepal tragedy, senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi on Friday donated medicines for the earthquake victims.
Medicines worth lakhs of rupees were handed over to The Sara, an NGO, for distribution among the affected.
Yudhvir appealed to the people of the State to come forward and be part of the campaign to help those who have been struck with one of the worst tragedies of the region.
“We understand pain of our Nepalese brothers and sisters, as the state has itself witnessed wrath of nature during last September’s flash floods and incessant rains. It is our human duty to reach out to those who have lost their loved ones and property,” he appealed.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended full support to the neighbouring county and donated one month’s salary for the cause. “Generous support should be extended to the affected”, he stressed.
