SAMBA: A youth was killed while dozen got injured when a matador hit the road side divider turned turtle near Samba on Friday.
According to a report, a matador (Jk21-2997 ) which was on way to Jammu from Purmandal hit with a road siude divider resulting in a youth go killed and many got injuries.
With help of locals all the injured were rushed to GMC Jammu for treatment where 18 years Sahil Kumar (18) son of Rattan Lal resident of Jaswal (Purmandal) was declared brought dead.
While the injured were identified as Gulshan (22) son of Shakti Ram, Mukesh Kumar, Garu Ram son of Raj Kumar, Suresh Kumar son of Chandu Ram, Parshotma Devi wife of Satpal, Sudesh Kumari wife of Krishan Chand all residents of Parmandal.
Later locals along with family member of deceased staged a protest against government and PWD by placing body on the road. Protesters said that government has ignored the villager by not providing proper transport. They also criticized PWD for not maintaing the road.
