JAMMU: Seeking transparency in admission process of Cluster University Jammu, the Chief Spokesperson and Chief Media Incharge Youth Congress J&K, Vishal Chopra demanded open admission for all students.
Alleging that Cluster University is playing with career of students, Chopra said that it has now become a routine process for Cluster University to increase seats after several days of protest.
“Rather than increasing intake capacity of Colleges under Cluster University, the administration has reduced intake capacity which is very unfortunate and shameful.
Due to non-serious attitude of University Administration, students are suffering in the time of crisis and holding protest demonstrations for admissions.
Education is the right of every student and university should not play with careers of thousands of students as it can result into a mass agitation,” he asserted.
Chopra asked the university administration for providing open admission to all students besides displaying cutoff merit in all lists, failing which Youth Congress J&K would launch am agitation.
