JAMMU: Former Congress Minister Yogesh Sawhney on Monday decided to contest forthcoming Assembly elections as independent candidate from Jammu East Assembly constituency.
He said that people in large number from Jammu East constituency met him and appealed to contest elections as they have no faith in other candidates contesting elections. He said that Congress has given mandate to a candidate who has no footing in politics and is new to Jammu East constituency.
Yogesh said that his sole purpose to contest elections is to serve the people of Jammu East Constituency. He said that he is not joining any other party but will contest elections as an independent candidate. Yogesh also informed that he will start election campaigning soon.
