YCC, Evershine XI register wins in 4th Eid Diwali Christmas Cup

JAMMU: YCC Bhaderwah and Evershine XI registered emphatic wins in the 4th Eid Diwali Christmas T20 Cricket Cup for students and youths of the state, and entered in the Semi Finals s which played at Parade Ground, here on Thursday.
The tournament in which 24 teams are participating is being organised jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, Simula Sports Club, Atman Sports Club and Christian Sports Organization. The Organizing Committee includes Hilal Rather, Sanjay Mahajan, Rajesh Gill, David Mattoo, Asif Gill, Rajesh Dhar, R.P Singh, Sunil Sambyal and Sunny Gill. The slogan of the tournament is ‘Khelo Khushi Sey- Par Nasha Mat Karo’.
Batting first, Janipur Cricket XI scored 147 runs in the stipulated 20 over for the loss of 4 wickets, Mukul top scored with 60 runs and Ishan also made 31 runs for. Khalid took 2 wickets and Sheroz and Irshad shared took 1 wicket for YCC.
YCC, in reply could achieved the target in 19.2 overs for 8 wickets thus won the match by 2 wickets. Jaspreet and Abir Khan were the main scorer with 48 and 33 runs, Deepak and Wahid took 2 wickets each, Mohit Ragu and JD shared 1 wicket for their team. Jaspreet declared man of the Match. In another Qurter Final Match Evershine Club defeated Christian Sports XI.
Batting first Evershine Club scored 170 runs in the allotted 20 overs game for the loss of all wickets. Ashu and Narinder were the main scorers who made 59 and 45 runs to the total.Nitu and anchal took 3 wickets each, Sunny took 2 wickets while Rakesh and Amir shared 1 wicket for Christian Sports XI.
In reply Christian Sports could achieved the target and made 133 runs for the loss of all wickets.Danny and Sunny were the main scorers who made 28 and 27 runs for Christian Sports.Ashu took 4 wickets, Pranav and hardeep took 2 wickets each, while Narinder and Bansi Lal shared 1 wicket. Evershine Club won the match by 37 runs. Ashu declared Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Madan, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Sunil Sambyal , Sanju and Danny. Tomorrow the next Quarter Finals shall be played between Jammu Police XI and Khalsa cricket club at 10.30 am and fourth Quarter Final between KC Sports XI and Jammu Stars XI at 1.30 pm informed by Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player, the Organizing Secretary of the tournament.
