DODA: Youth Cricket Club (YCC) Bhadarwah thrashed Mumbai Eleven by 30 runs in the ongoing All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2016 being held at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is being organised by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank and Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, YCC Bhadarwah set a target of 87 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 15.2 overs. Mudassir Sheikh (25) and Reyaz (22) were the main scorers. For Mumbai Eleven, Rohit Shukla claimed three wickets while Mukesh Patel took two.
In reply, Mumbai Eleven failed to face the bowling attack of the opponent and was bundled out for 57 runs in 12.2 overs. Swapnil made 12 runs while Anikate Khadpe added 11.
For YCC Bhadarwah, Jamsheed Sheikh was the pick of the bowler, who clinched three wickets followed by Arshad Sheikh and Hrithik, who shared two each.
Jamsheed Sheikh of YCC Bhadarwah team was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance who was given prize by Chief Guest, Asif Jahan Gattu, former Administrator Auqaf and General Secretary Congress along with Chief Advisor YSCC Dr Tariq Masood.
The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi, Bharat Jojoriya, Rinku Bhaduria and Ashok Sharma.
