KATRA: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board on Tuesday opened Sanjichhat-Bhawan Track for Yatra from this morning, while Sanjichhat-Bhairon Temple route was opened for the pilgrimage yesterday.
Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, said that Yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji is proceeding smoothly both via Sanjichhat-Bhawan and Sanjichhat-Bhairon Temple tracks. The Shrine Board’s staff and Disaster Management Task Force remained deployed on the track to ensure smooth and safe movement of pilgrims on the tracks. Dr Bhandari informed that Helicopter sorties between Katra-Sanjichhat also started operating from today. While around 18,000 pilgrims took Darshan at the Shrine on 8th September, around 13,000 pilgrims proceeded from Katra to the Holy Cave today.
The Chief Executive Officer further informed that efforts have been intensified to clear the Lower Track between Adhkwari and Bhawan and to make it worthy for movement of pilgrims at the earliest.
