Yashpaul meets CM, discusses refugees issues

SRINAGAR: Senior PDP leader Yashpal Sharma (MLC) met Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and discussed with her the agriculture, education and developmental works of Jammu province.
Sharma demanded full support to both farm universities (SKUAST-J and SKUAST-K) from State Government. He also sought that many of proposal submitted by SKUAST-J regarding opening of new faculties, new colleges and increasing of both teaching and non teaching posts are lying with the planning department for a long period and need special intervention of CM as she is also Pro-Chancellor of SKUAST-J.
Sharma also demanded special attention from State Government for the university as scientists are working tirelessly for the welfare of the farming community.
Sharma requested the Chief Minster to personally intervene regarding the issue of refugee settlement package as the community had already suffered a lot during the last sixty five years. He said refugee community is quite hopeful that during the present state and central regime they will get justice as it was the dream of late Mufti Sayeed to get justice for the refugee community.
Sharma also sought to expedite process of functioning of Poonch Campus of Jammu University and requested Chief Minister to personally monitor the developmental work of Poonch viz; completion of Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge, reinstallation 132 KV transmission line, construction of Jallian Mandi Park, renovation of Krishan Chander Park and renovation of canals.
Chief Minster assured MLC that all the issues raised by him will be taken on priority and will be completed within stipulated time.
