Wrong policies of BJP-PDP responsible for present crisis: Manohar

 STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Former Minister and General Secretary PCC, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma strongly condemned the wrong policies of BJP and PDP which led to the present crisis in the State in which 37 lives lost till date.
“The government machinery has failed in total to deal the situation as well as to protect the life and properties of government and civilians,” he said.
Sharma expressed deep shock over the complete breakdown in the State machinery and law and order as the situation prevailing in the Kashmir is worst ever since. He said that it is observed that there is great failure in intelligence inputs by the various State and Central intelligence agencies despite that release of 634 stone pelters further fuelled the fire which was already sparked by the incoming of surrendered militants via Nepal route by Government of India on the recommendation of State Government without going through the pros and cons, hence given a chance to sabotage the peaceful situation in the State also.
Dr Sharma strongly criticised the role of Pakistan Government and its agencies to spread violence in Kashmir through a well designed model by taking the help from the terror network of Hizbul Mujahideen Supremo Syed Salahudin and Lakhvi to destabilise the State and the BJP- PDP fell prey to their evil designs and failed to assess the gravity of the situation. There was every apprehension during the recent attack at Kud in which militants succeeded to establish their hide out at Subash Nagar Jammu and similar attacks in Srinagar, Qazigund and Pampore but the State Government slept over the issue and Government of India did not take it as serious. This is the result of slackness of BJP over national security for which BJP Central as well as State leadership is fully responsible, he added.
Sharma accused the BJP and PDP over their confused and directionless approach to deal with the militancy in J and K as well as in other parts of the country which is also a major cause of disturbance as both are the opposite polls in political agenda.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Prime Minister and other leadership of BJP always remains in election mode and other important matters like country’s security remains un-noticed.
Sharma showed serious concern over the loss of lives in present disturbance and appealed to all the sections of society to maintain peace and try to solve the matter on table and not on roads and streets. Sharma further showed deep concern over the loss of lives of security persons killed in this unfortunate incident and requested the government to make sure that security of Baba Amarnath Yatris is maintained on priority.
