KATHUA: Wrestler Kaka Kohali lifted 86th Ramkote Kesri Dangal title by defeating Wrestler Jassa Leela of Ludhiana in Punjab in a tough fight which last for 25 minutes.
The Dangal was organised by Dangal Committee Ramkot at Ramkot, Kathua .
In all, 60 bouts were played in the day long Dangal wherein wrestlers from Jammu and Kashmir and other states participated.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Billawar, Rajesh Basotra was the Chief Guest on the occasion who gave away cash prizes to the wrestlers. DSP Basohli, Tehsildar Ramkote, SHO Billawar, Chowki Officer Ramkot, President of dangal Committee, Rajesh Gupta, Chairman, Madan Gopal, Cashier Vijay Gupta and Vice Chairman, Vinay Gupta were also present.
Wrestler Kaka Kohali was awarded with cash prize of Rs 41,000 and a Gurj by the Chief Guest.
Second bout was won by Sunny Lallian who defeated Dharminder Alamgir Akhara and got Rs 25,000. Third bout was won by Rana Kohali who trounced Lalli Lallia and got Rs 20,000. Fourth bout between Sukha Rajastan and Gunga Lalyian ended in a draw and both shared Rs 18,000. Fifth bout between Sukh Lallian and Palla of Himachal also ended in a draw and prize money of Rs 15,000 was shared by both wrestlers. Sixth bout was won by Shera of Himachal who outplayed Kala of Dinanagar and got Rs 12,000. In seventh bout Butta Lallian trounced Sona Kohali and received Rs 10,000 as cash prize. Eighth bout of Rs 6,000 was shared by Bittu of Delhi and Gagan of Amritsar.
Members of the Organising Committee and Technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of Dangal were Sarpanch Budhi Singh, Vijay Gupta, Sardanand Deonia, Jia Lal, Devinder Deonia, Om Parkash, Kaka Kharka, Vinod Spolia, Pardeep Khajuria, Kishore, Rocky Mehra, Bangi Mehra and Sardari Lal.
