JAMMU: BJP State President and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma held a meeting of State Office Bearers, District Prabharis, District Presidents, Mandal Presidents and different Morchas regarding the celebration of International Yoga Day at the Party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
State Vice-President Parmod Kapahi, State General Secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh and Harinder Gupta were also present in the meeting.
Sat, while addressing the meeting, said that the International Yoga Day will be celebrated in the Mini Stadium, Parade Ground, Jammu on Wednesday 21st of June at 5:30 AM along with other social organisations. He said that, today the whole world has recognised the power of yoga for the unison of mind and soul along with physical fitness.
He asked all the leaders present in the meeting to carry the message of PM Modi to every single person and asked them to reach various social groups to contribute in the great cause. He asked them not to take it as a programme of BJP, but as an appeal of PM Modi for healthier and happier tomorrow. He termed yoga as a service towards the humanity. This is a way to feel connected with great endeavour of our worthy PM, he added.
Meanwhile, he also took a briefing of the ‘Alp-Kalik Vistarak Yojana’ from the Party leaders during the meeting and termed it as a major step for expanding the base of the party and extending the reach of party ideology to the general public.
