RAJOURI: Army conducted a lecture on ‘Online Payment and Cashless Transaction’ at Keri village in Rajouri District, recently. The lecture was to motivate the people to move towards a cashless economy, for which the government has come up with a number of measures to facilitate financial transactions through digital means. The lecture focused on making the audience aware about the rapid progress being made to digitise the economy of our country.
The audience was given an insight into the numerous efforts being made by the government to ease the life of its citizens by promoting online transactions in day to day life. They were informed that though the transition will take some time to implement, the same will be beneficial to all as it would make all financial dealings convenient and easy.
The talk was delivered by Tarachand Sharma, Bank Manager, J&K Gramin Bank, who laid out modalities of online payment and transaction. He also highlighted various precautions to be taken to prevent online frauds and keep online transactions secure.
