‘She never thought about, what she is facing now; she never thought about the pain she is bearing now; she never thought about the strength she has shown.’ A woman plays many roles in her life. Right from birth till death, she just suffers. Those who call woman a Goddess actually think of her as a toy. A toy, when it is ready, it is sold from a factory to the seller. Then it does not know which seller will take it and who buy it and how much price is charged for it. Then the buyer plays with it and when it gets old, breaks it one day. This is the actual condition of a woman in our society. Many people of the society look at the women with this view only. The fault is ours. It is the fault of those parents who, as soon as their daughter is born, mistook her as alien wealth. How a daughter becomes an outsider in her own house? How does a daughter become a stranger in her own house one day? As soon as she is born, dreams of her marriage begin. When she gets a little older, she is told that you are someone else’s. You have to get married when you grow up. Why parents or society always try to teach their daughter this lesson? Why don’t they teach her about her dreams, ambitions, rights ? Why marriage is the first priority for most of the parents? They teach her you have to become cultured. You have to be calm. You have to bear the pain of people’s rubbish words. You don’t go here, don’t go there, Don’t speak in front of elders, Don’t fight, don’t shout, talk with bowed neck and don’t know what? When she grows up a little more, Almost all parents start looking for her a groom and then she is taught that you have to live well in your in-laws’ house, no matter what they say, you remain silent. To serve mother-in-law, father-in-law, treat husband as God etc. Don’t argue with them, live with calmness, Give them respect even if they do something wrong with her. If you don’t keep adjusting, then what will happen to our respect, people have been talking rubbish about you and disrespect us etc. The girl does all that for the happiness of the parents. Forget her dreams, forget her happiness, Forget living her own life, forget to love herself. If she remembers then only those things that her parents taught her. After suffering all this, one day she also becomes a mother and forgets herself. Her whole life gets entangled in her in-laws and her children. Her dreams get died. One day it comes, when she breaks down and without living her life, she leaves the world. This is the bitter truth of our society. We call a woman a Goddess but the form of a Goddess is, in fact, she is not such a Goddess, who just keeps giving you the whole life. A woman is a human being, she also has dreams. She too has a heart, she also has aspirations. She is in pain too. She feels bad too. But still she just endures her whole life, lives only for others and forgets that she also has a life of her own. She does a lot for others. First of all for her parents then for her siblings then for her husband, in laws, children and even for society. Why don’t we teach our daughters that this is your home, this is what you have to stay. You have to become a good person by reading and writing well and earn a name and fame in the world. You have to make your mark. Why it is not told that you also have the right to speak, fight for yourself, you also have the right to live on your own terms. Why do men or boys forget that there is also a woman who gave birth to them? What’s wrong with a woman? Why don’t people understand that Woman is not a toy at all? Many rape cases happen every day. Why is a strict law not made for them? A woman cannot go out at night because she is a woman; there will be people to pull her. Parents are always afraid of getting out their daughters at night even in the day too. Some Boys make relations with them and leave them after forming relationships with girls. Why, because she is a girl, it is her fault. Do girls have no right to live? Do girls have no feelings no emotions no heart no pain? Why are all the restrictions only for a woman? Whether a man can crush a woman, but if he is a man, then it doesn’t matter. Why should the woman suffer every time and for what? What is the fault of a woman? To be born as a woman is a crime? Those who call Woman A Devi ever consider her to be a true Goddess, Have respect for that Goddess? You should understand her feelings, you should try to know her. You should understand that she is also a living being like you. By calling her a Goddess, this society took her life away from the woman. Woman is also human being, she is not a toy whom you can use as per your convenience. Nothing will happen if one day happens to be a Women’s day. Just for one day you make to feel her special, like a Goddess. Only for one day you call her with respect. Why is it so? You should give respect to the woman every day, Give her all her rights. Let her to feel free and safe, let her live as well. Only then will Women’s Day be celebrated in reality. Those Women who teach their daughters to be silent, they make their daughters weak. Teach daughters to speak. Teach them to fight. Teach them to take decisions in your life. Teach them to stand on their own feet. Teach them to make own decisions in life. Every human has the right to live his life and a Woman is also a human being, not a Toy to play. Now-a-days many people change their mind and don’t force their daughters to marry. Many girls live freely do studies and job. Earn their own , make their own decisions and do whatever they want. But after all that somewhere People have an afraid in their mind regarding for their daughter’s safety because reality is that a daughter, a woman is not safe in our society. So it is so important that the whole society should change their mind regarding the girls. It takes a lot of time may be it will never happen when a girl feel completely safe but we have to start from somewhere. ‘Beti Bachao Beti padao’, the campaign will fulfill its mission only when every citizen change their mind and thinks about the girl’s safety first. The real Woman Day will be that day when the whole society will change its mind regarding woman.
