JAMMU: Police on Saturday nabbed two drug peddlers including a woman and recovered heroin and Charas from their possession.
As per details, a team from Police Station Domana during Naka checking on road leading to Nagbani stopped a suspicious person on motorcycle (JK02AE 9730) for checking but aforesaid person tried to escape and was caught after hectic efforts by team. During frisking of aforesaid person, police recovered approximately 200 gm Charas like substance from his possession, which he had concealed inside his jacket. The accused, identified as Ravi Kumar alias Laffa, son of Madan Lal, resident of Chak Jaggar, Nagbani, Domana Jammu was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 378/2020 under section 8/20 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Domana. The arrest and recovery was made under the directions of SHO Domana Chanchal Singh and supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and under overall supervision of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil. Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO Manjeet Singh on reliable information, arrested a notorious woman drug-peddler namely Sudesh Kumari, wife of Subash Chander, resident of Reshamghar Colony who was involved in illegal selling of drugs (Chitta) to youth. During personal search of woman, 10 gm Chitta (heroin) like substance was recovered from her possession. She was arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No 205 under sections 8, 21 & 22 of NDPS Act was registered against her.
