“Delhi government will work towards realising the vision of the late Chaudhary Brahm Prakash. We will translate his dreams into reality,” Kejriwal said while paying floral tributes to Prakash at his statue inside the Delhi Vidhan Sabha Secretariat here.
He further said that the late leader wanted to make the national capital “Maha Delhi” and that the AAP government would fulfil that dream.
“He wanted to make Delhi ‘Maha Delhi’ and talked about the rights of Delhi. He would also talk about the rural areas of Delhi and its farmers. We will translate all his dreams into reality,” Kejriwal said.
Delhi Assembly had organised a function to mark his birth anniversary during which Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, Delhi Power and Health Minister Satyendra Jain and other senior officials of Delhi government, too, paid floral tributes at the statue of the late leader.
Prakash had served as the first Chief Minister of Delhi from 1952-55.
