Will fight for statehood, jobs, land rights: Azad

Kishtwar: Former Chief Minister and veteran leader, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday said that he will fight for the restoration of statehood of Jammu and Kashmir, land rights and job guarantee of the youth.
Addressing a public meeting in Drabshalla area of Kishtwar during his tour to the Chenab Valley post Congress exit, Azad said he will strive for upholding the rights of the people.
Azad was accompanied by former Ministers G M Saroori, Abdul Majeed Wani, former MLC Naresh Gupta, former Spokesperson Salman Nizami, Mohd Aslam Goni, BDC Chairpersons Kahara and others.
While advocating for land rights and stressing for it continuously during tour of Jammu and Kashmir, Azad again said that no one can deprive us from our fundamental and constitutional rights. He said that the first right on the land of Jammu and Kashmir and jobs is that of our people and it’s my foremost priority to fight for the rights of the people.
He added that the new party will be formed soon in consultation with people and its focus will be on restoration of full statehood, right to land and employment to native domicile. He sought the support from people in forming the government in J&K to initiate a new era of development and progress.
“We have not to fight with weapons to get our demands fulfilled. Mahatma Gandhi was my idol and his ideology will be pursued in J&K also to get our concerns redressed. Azad is scheduled to address a public rally at Chatroo areas of Kishtwar District tomorrow.
