Will bring all regions on development map: PDP

JAMMU: Alleging that lopsided development policies pursued by NC government was responsible for underdevelopment of some areas in Jammu region, PDP candidate for Marh Suram Singh Chib on Friday said if voted to power, his party will establish a system for development of all regions.
“Our visionary polices will change the destiny of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir especially border and rural belts. We are seeking mandate of the people to establish a new system where every region and sub-region will be brought on the map of development and socio-economic growth,” Suram said while interacting with people of Marh in continuing his door to door campaign for Assembly elections.
“The lopsided developmental policies propagated by the successive NC-led governments are responsible for the underdevelopment and marginalisation of areas like Marh,” Suram alleged.
He alleged that backwardness and underdevelopment in the rural belts of Marh were glaring examples of wrong development policies propagated by ruling government.
Suram claimed that during the tenure of Mufti led PDP Government, comprehensive development plan was implemented in this neglected region.
“It is high time that residents of this belt, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, religion or ethnicity, should jointly struggle to get basic amenities,” he said.
“The pro-people agenda of the party is formulated by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society and we never compromised with our agenda for attaining power,” he said.
Other PDP leaders who accompanied Suram Singh include Vikram Singh block President Marh, Rashpal Bittu, Dileram, Capt Kamal and Ashok Kumar.
