What about private employees!

Dear Editor,
The Central government employees are going to get an increase of Rs 5,000 to Rs 50,000 per month in their salary following the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission recommendations. The state government employees will also follow suit. On the other hand, the private retirees are losing Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 per month in their interest income which is their sole source of earning because of the reduced rate of interest on their savings. Does the government not think about such persons, who are also very much part of this great country? Is there no political party or organisation that has some time to think of the plight of such people? Besides, crores of people are unemployed and leading a miserable life with no source of income. I pray to the Almighty on behalf of all such fellows to give wisdom to all concerned to think about them. There is no justification in appeasing just 10 per cent of the population of the country, ie Central/state employees, at the cost of 90 per cent of the remaining population. After all, these are 90 per cent people are those who are paying for the hefty salaries of the Central/state employees in the form of various taxes.
