Dear Editor,
The Supreme Court’s ruling that politicians cannot seek votes in the name of religion, race, caste, community, is welcome. Surely, this will strengthen the democratic and secular structure of our country. However, the Apex Court should have also confirmed the criterion of appeals to religion and caste etc, to give more teeth to its order.
