Week-long I-Day celebrations begin at JU

JAMMU: On the occasion of the 70th Independence Day and under theme ‘Azaadi-70, Yaad Karo Kurbani’ declared by Government of India, a week-long Independence Day celebrations began at International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu.
Professor R.D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, was the Chief Guest, who declared the event open by unveiling the banner of ‘Azaadi-70, Yaad Karo Kurbani’.
The celebrations began with painting of the canvas titled ‘Sadbhavna’ and tricolored pots by the Vice Chancellor, Professor R.D Sharma alongwith the students of MBA-IB in the presence of Director ICccR and HRM and the faculty. MBA (IB) students also presented a brief cultural programme, inspirational poetry and conducted quiz on the national patriotic theme.
Among others, the function was attended by Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor, faculty members and staff of ICccR & HRM, students and security personnel of University of Jammu.
